Welcome to Ohio Days
Ohio Days: Farm to School is a program in Central Ohio. This envisions a school environment where children are served healthy, local, fresh foods in the cafeteria and learn about this food in their classroom or through experiential learning.
We believe that all children and members of their communities should have access to safe, affordable, healthy and nutritious food to achieve optimal health. Creating healthy communities is not just about changing individual behaviors, it is also about changing the environment in which people live, work, learn and play. This vision fosters a fair and sustainable food system that not only increases access to food but enables people to make informed choices about available food options.
To feed our children healthy, safe, nutritious and local food. We seek to improve childhood health, support local agriculture through increased consumption of nutritious, fresh, local ingredients and decrease waste in our school cafeterias.
From produce availability to local food and health resources and more, you’ll find a wealth of information on our Community Resources page.
